Giovanna Battaino

Giovvanna Battaino was born in 1961 in Blois, France.

She is of Italian descent and is one of the sculptors for whom shapes and volumes are expressions that can translate thoughts and emotions.


In 1980 she traveled for one year to the United States, Mexico and Guatemala.  After her return she lived in Paris for 4 years.

In 1985 she leaves again for one year to Morocco, Algeria, Niger, Burkina Fasso, Togo and Benin. During that trip she met the famous Italian sculptor Franco ADAMI, who lives in Tuscany, in Togo.

In 1986 she moved to Pietrasanta and learned to make marble sculptures and became the master assistant of Franco ADAMI until 2010.

In 2012 she returned to France.
