“Jacques Cinquin, born in Paris in 1942, studied from the ages of 62 to 64 until he graduated from the Ecole Nationale des Arts Appliqués in Paris.
His mural teacher, Robert Wogensky, encouraged him to go to Aubusson, where he would spend a few months taking introductory training in tapestry at the National School of Decorative Arts.
Jacques Cinquin has died at the age of 77.
